Understanding Therapy with Bone Marrow Stem Cells

Stem cell therapies have come a long way since the 1970’s and 1980’s. Today the ethical issues of harvesting stem cells have long been resolved through the discovery of several sources of potent stem cell types. Common sources include in the umbilical cord and placenta (post birth), bone marrow, and the fatty layer that lies just beneath everyone’s skin (adipose fat tissue).
